The Mass Effect Series has seen a lot of ups and downs. Everyone agrees that the original Shepherd trilogy was the peak. A peak the adromeda hasn’t been able to even match. However, we are getting Mass Effect 5 but a lot of people might not even be able to play it.

Mass Effect 5 – Next-Gen Only
Mass Effect 5 will almost certainly launch on next-generation platforms rather than the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series. This coincides with the complaint that there aren’t even that many games on the current generation of consoles.
Tamoor Hussain and Jeff Grubb, two reliable sources, made it rather evident during the Giant Bomb podcast that ME5 is far from ready. Do you want some first-hand accounts? This game will never be released, according to Grubb.
They then added, “I was told that when they revealed Dragon Age Dreadwolf in 2018, this is similar in terms of timeline. That was announced in 2018 and we’re not getting that game until maybe next year. So now do the math for that, and we’re talking 2029 for Mass Effect 5.”
There is simply no chance BioWare is releasing ME5 on the PS5, or the Xbox Series for that matter, given that the PS5 has been confirmed to be in the later stage of its lifecycle. Grubb continued by saying that the purpose of the teaser trailer was only to reassure and appease fans that a new game was in development.
