Apple Finally Reveals Company’s 1st VR Headset. After years of speculation, the tech giant finally announces its official entry into the mixed reality headset market. The company primarily positions the headset as an Augmented Reality (AR) device but enables users to seamlessly transition between AR and Virtual Reality (VR) modes through a user-friendly dial.

The Vision Pro headset is scheduled for an early 2024 release in the United States, priced at $3,499(INR Rs 2,88,000). Equipped with twin 4K displays, it offers stunning HDR picture quality. For those who wear glasses, custom ZEISS inserts are necessary. The innovative EyeSight feature utilizes a front display to indicate engagement with others or immersion in the virtual world. Users can enjoy native 3D experiences through visionOS and access iOS and iPadOS apps via the Vision Pro App Store. With a crown control, seamless transitions between augmented reality and virtual reality are possible. Advanced eye and hand tracking, along with voice commands, eliminate the need for controllers. Spatial photos and videos can be captured instantly, with EyeSight notifying others. Notably, Disney is an official partner, crafting exclusive experiences for the Vision Pro, including Disney World and Marvel games.
