BTS member Jungkook’s solo song “Seven (feat. Latto)” has topped Billboard’s “Global 200” and “Global (Excluding the United States)” charts for 7 consecutive weeks, setting a record for the longest-running No. 1 song on the charts this year.
The song has also been charting on the main Billboard Hot 100 chart, rising to No. 28 this week, up four places from last week.
Jungkook’s other solo releases have also been performing well on the Billboard charts. His first solo mixtape, “JUNGKOOK,” reached No. 1 on the World Albums chart and No. 11 on the Top Current Albums chart. The mixtape’s title track, “My Time,” also reached No. 8 on the World Digital Song Sales chart.
Meanwhile, J-Hope’s solo album “Jack In The Box” is still charting on the Billboard 200 chart, reaching No. 70 this week. The album also topped the World Albums chart and reached No. 7 on the Top Current Albums chart.
Suga’s solo album “D-DAY” is also charting on the Top Current Albums chart, reaching No. 61 this week. Jimin’s first solo album “FACE” is charting on the World Albums chart at No. 11 and the Top Current Albums chart at No. 93.
V’s upcoming solo album “Layover” is set to be released on September 16. The album’s pre-released singles, “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days,” have already charted on the Billboard charts.
These latest chart successes show the continued global popularity of BTS and their members. Jungkook is the first artist to have a song top the Billboard “Global” chart for 7 consecutive weeks this year, and his solo releases have also been met with critical acclaim. With the release of V’s “Layover” next week, it is likely that BTS will continue to dominate the charts.
