CoD Black Ops 6 – Disk Requirement And Texture Streaming A Concern For Many
Activision has explained that the current file size indicated on the titles pre-order is not accurate. Fans were astonished when the game revealed that gamers would need about 300 GB of disc memory to play the game. However, this could have been due to a little misunderstanding between the developer and the publisher.
The official Twitter account clarified that the listed 300 GB was not solely for Black Ops 6. They published a post stating that the estimated space included the full installation of MW2, MW3 and Warzone. Notably, this estimate included all content packs for each title and the game’s localised language options, which users rarely download in their entirety.
Some users were particularly disappointed when they discovered that all game modes rely on a texture streaming feature. This implies that users will require a stable and relatively fast internet connection to play through Black Ops 6’s campaign.
