Fortnite is a really huge game with millions of players worldwide. And a large number of those players consist of children. So it automatically becomes a concern for some parents that their children are safe from certain online exposure. And it seems like Epic Games is taking measures by blocking access to Fortnite Creative Mode.

Fortnite Creative Mode and IARC
It’s possible that everyone under the age of 14 won’t be able to access the in-game Creative Mode. IARC ratings are scheduled to go online on November 14, 2023, as reported by iFireMonkey. Parents will have more influence over their child’s account after these changes.
With these new capabilities, parents and guardians will be able to modify how Creative Mode operates. They will be able to prevent entry to specific Islands based on their IARC classification. In a similar vein, they will be able to provide their child access to particular Islands for play.
This is mainly done due to the instances of “Rogue Maps” that had appeared in Fortnite Creative mode. For example, the “Russia vs Ukraine” or “Palestine vs Isreal” maps.
Epic has previously made additional adjustments. This entails a number of steps, like restricting credit card purchases, verifying the user’s age again, and giving parents/guardians multiple options to restrict account capabilities. Interestingly, these aren’t exclusive to any one video game.
