TREASURE leader Jihoon has clarified how the members of the group’s new unit, T5, were chosen. In a recent Idol radio broadcast, Jihoon said that the members were not chosen based on who raised their hands first, as Yang Hyunsuk had previously said.

This led to many jokes and memes about the seemingly arbitrary way the members would be selected. However, the truth of the matter was finally revealed in a recent radio broadcast. When asked about the election, leader Jihoon clarified that it was not actually based on who raised their hands first.
Jihoon also added that there are other members of TREASURE who are more handsome than the T5 members. He said that he answered the question himself because he felt that it could lead to misunderstandings if someone else answered it.
The clarification by Jihoon has put to rest any rumours about the T5 member election. YG chose the members based on their skills and their ability to fit the concept of the song.
