Microsoft and Xbox Support AI
Haiyan Zhang, General Manager of Gaming AI at Xbox, was mentioned by The Verge in a statement. “We are testing an Xbox Support Virtual Agent, an internal prototype of an animated character that can query Xbox Support topics with voice or text”.
This development is part of Microsoft’s larger effort to bring AI capabilities to its Xbox platform. The primary purpose of this integration is to improve the platform and services for a more seamless user experience. Haiyan Zhang added that the prototype makes it easier and faster for players to receive help with support concerns using natural language.
According to the source, Microsoft is presently testing the Xbox AI chatbot internally against Minecraft Realms support queries.
Microsoft is now contemplating developing AI-powered Copilots for safety and moderating functions. This includes content filtering on the Xbox platform, which will speed up the enforcement and appeals processes. This could result in the corporation introducing AI-based game aides to assist players in their playtime.
This also includes trying out AI-generated in-game art and content. It includes AI game testing and generative AI NPCs, for which the business has already collaborated with Inworld on development. Microsoft is also encouraging its customers to create tools to automate support jobs.
