OnePlus, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, has commenced the release of the OxygenOS 13 F.48 update for OnePlus Nord CE 2 smartphones. This latest update includes the May 2023 Android security patch, as well as various system enhancements and bug fixes for the device.

According to available information, OnePlus Nord CE 2 devices are receiving the security update for May 2023, specifically with the version IV2201_11.F.48. However, details about the size of the installation package are currently unavailable. It is advisable to have at least 500MB of free storage on your device to accommodate the update smoothly.

To ensure the absence of critical bugs, OnePlus is following its usual practice of initially rolling out the OTA update to a small number of users. Once OnePlus confirms the stability of the update, the company will progressively release it to a broader range of consumers

In the meantime, if you wish to manually check for the firmware update, you can do so by going to the Update section on your phone. Keep in mind that the rollout process may take some time.
