AI images are really common these days and millions can be found throughout the internet. However, it is still not implemented as commonly by companies in their devices. Samsung did use AI to some extent to “capture the moon” but it was still subtle. However, Samsung is now looking to more integrally incorporate AI in their smartphone cameras.

Samsung AI Cameras for Human Vision-Like Photos
As per a report published in Business Korea, Samsung is attempting to develop AI sensors. These sensors can eventually sense and replicate human senses by integrating artificial intelligence into its camera image sensors. Internally, Samsung refers to these as Humanoid Sensors. However, they will take time as Samsung will properly integrate them into their devices till 2027.
AI camera sensors use an integrated chip with AI capabilities to process data directly at the sensor level. This is in contrast to typical camera sensors that pass data to a device’s CPU for image processing. Samsung anticipates that the integrated AI in cameras will reduce latency and power consumption. Additionally, it might lead to enhanced facial and object recognition skills.
While AI-integrated camera sensors are one of Samsung’s long-term goals, the company is also reportedly planning to add AI technologies to its Galaxy series smartphones, which will resemble the Google Pixel 8 series. These new AI features would probably include the ability to move things within an image using AI, create wallpaper by combining keywords, and enable users to enlarge pictures beyond their true boundaries.
