Shortly after the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation 5, some developers started developing and even released an unofficial version of the game for PC. Well, everyone knew Sony was going to take action sooner or later. And now, Sony is officially taking legal action against the Spider-Man 2 pc port.

Sony And The Unofficial Spider-Man 2 Port
This announcement was made via @PlayStationCDS, a PlayStation-focused account on Twitter. Insomniac Games experienced a large leak in January of this year after being infected with ransomware. As a result, an early build of the unreleased Wolverine game and the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 were leaked.
While months have elapsed since the breach, Sony’s ongoing steps against the leakers indicate that an official PC port announcement could be made shortly.
PlayStation Lifestyle reported that the unofficial PC port was based on the leaked development files. This version was “full of bugs and glitches,” but functioning. The port will most probably be announced at the upcoming PlayStation State-of-Play. The PlayStation 5 Pro may also be officially announced at the event.
Well, whatever it is, it was obvious that Sony was gonna take legal action at one point. Let’s see if we can get a version of the game that is superior to the one made unofficially.
