South Korea has announced a special plan to offer foreign visitors a Korean name and a prepaid transport payment card printed with their name in Hangul, the Korean alphabet. The gift will be given to the first 500 people who participate in a survey using digital kiosks installed at Incheon International Airport on September 23 and 24.
The initiative is part of the country’s efforts to promote tourism and celebrate the creation of Hangul in 1443. Hangul is a unique alphabet that was invented by King Sejong the Great to make literacy more accessible to the public. Read More – Actor Yoo Ah-in Hit with Bundle of Money After Court Hearing
The prepaid transport card will be valid for use on all public transportation in South Korea, including buses, trains, and subways. It can also be used to pay for admission to some tourist attractions.
The gift is a welcome gesture for foreign visitors, who will now be able to travel around South Korea more conveniently and easily. It is also a great way to promote Korean culture and language.
