WayDroid – Steam Android Emulator
Bradley Lynch, a well-known leaker and SteamVR data miner discovered a SteamDB bundle that contained five programmes. Two of them have new artwork that references Waydroid. Waydroid is an open-source emulator that allows Linux-based computers, such as the Steam Deck, to run Android applications using Linux namespaces.
This open-source emulator enables a full-fledged Android system to run within a container and provides native-like performance.
SteamDB indicates that Valve has been working on a Steam app featuring the Waydroid logo since May 30. The database’s most recent update is from four days ago, indicating that the integration is ongoing.
