Ubisoft is not a company with a great reputation these days. Everyone knows them for putting out low-effort, same-old formula games. However, it seems like Ubisoft has stooped to a new low. Ubisoft is now displaying In-game ads in their older games.

Ubisoft In-game Ads
User u/tridell24 posted a video on r/xboxone titled “Just got an in-game advertisement when I tried to go to the map”. The video shows the user playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and suddenly getting an in-game ad. The ad promoting the latest AC Title (Which isn’t that great).
After everything that Ubisoft has done this past decade or so, this is one of the things that is truly unacceptable. This is especially annoying since people already paid for their game and still have to put up with all this. And it is assured that Ubisoft will stop at these in-game ads. They will get more frequent with time until something isn’t done.
Of course, other people are upset with it too. Some say, “Yeah this kind of shit should be considered unacceptable” and “Of course, it’s Ubisoft, The same people who added grind to their games and then DLC to lessen said grind.”
Ubisoft isn’t the only company to do this, however. Recently, during the release of the CoD Modern Warfare 3, (Dubbed the Worst CoD in History) Xbox users were getting pop ads on their consoles. I don’t know what will happen in the future but it’s not looking good.
