Mobile games fall into a weird position these days. The biggest titles on mobile are usually just versions of console or PC AAA titles. Looking at the catalogue, we can find games like PUBG mobile, COD mobile, Warzone mobile and even Rainbow Six. However, it is seemingly weird that Tencent is working on Elden Ring Mobile.

Elden Ring Mobile – What Do We Know?
Tencent and Sony Interactive Entertainment purchased a good chunk of FromSoftware in 2022. This makes it possible the game may be coming onto the mobile, as stated by Three Reuters.
The largest gaming corporation in the world, Tencent, is present in the enormous Chinese gaming industry. They have significant sway over publishers and developers outside of China, such as Riot Games. And considering they’re one of the biggest mobile developers it is not unlikely.
According to Reuters, Tencent plans to develop Elden Ring as “a free-to-play game with in-app purchases” in the vein of miHoYo’s Genshin Impact. This is also really weird considering how Miyazaki treats his games.
He focuses solely on the experience and tries to keep his games more as an experience rather than games. This is why he refused to make any more Dark Souls games because according to him, 3 was how it was supposed to end. However, a mobile version? Will it function like other Tencent games and have microtransactions? Or skins? How will the game even function on a touch screen considering the difficulty?
According to Reuters, the Elden Ring Mobile has not advanced quickly. A few days ago, Reuters revealed that Tencent abandoned its Nier mobile game because of issues with its revenue model. Well, let’s just see if the game will even see the light of day or not.
