Google has teased the launch of it’s new smartphone – Pixel 7a. Google India announced the news via a tweet. The handheld will be officially launched at I/O Developer Conference, which will be held on May 10, 2023. The company will also announce the launch of their of first foldable handheld at the conference. The device will available exclusively on Flipkart.

The device will be available in single storage variant, Just like the 6a. However, 7a features 8 GB ram instead of 6 GB ram which the 6a offered. Storage is speculated to be 128 GB. It will most likely come with Android 13 and updates support. It is reported that the device will use the Tensor G2 processor. The same as the last Pixel 6a. It’s is also expected to offer features absent in the last line-up of Pixel smartphones.

The device is rumoured is feature a 64 megapixel camera. This is a huge upgrade from the 12 megapixel camera present in the 6a. 7a retains the dual camera setup. It will feature are 10.8 selfie camera and a 12 MP ultra wide lens.

The device is certainly going to feature 5G support. It also boasts a 6.1 inch OLED screen with 90 hertz capability. Which is an upgrade over 6a’s 60 hertz display. The leaks speculate that 7a will have 4410 mah battery. Not much of a difference since 6a had 4306 mah battery. The smartphone may use the 16W wired charging tech. This is a letdown since other smartphones with even 65W charging tech are available for the same price.

The Pixel 7a is expected to release at a price of 40,000 INR. The device can have serious competition with other smartphones in the mid-range section considering the price.
