Every year we see the release of a new iPhone device. Last year’s iPhone 14 and the pro max variant while great, were not exciting to the fans. Fans claim that the new features introduced are not justified to get a new generation. The features included are insignificant. Let’s take things sometime back when a new iPhone release meant something with the iPhone 10 XS Max.

iPhone 14 and iPhone XS Max – How Do they Compare?

It is no question that the device released years after will be a better one. However, let’s take a look at actually much difference is there between the 4 generations of iPhones. One thing to clarify is that Apple prides itself in its security features and it shows. iPhone 14 features really high-end security features. While you can see the traces of it in the iPhone 10 XS Max, it simply doesn’t compare to 14.

Display

The iPhone 10 XS Max has a sleek glass body and a stainless-steel frame. The device’s front features a 6.5-inch Super Retina OLED display with excellent clarity, rich colors, and deep blacks. While the iPhone 14 features a larger 6.7-inch, XDR OLED display. The device display features a resolution of  2688×1242 and the iPhone 14 has a 2796×1290 screen resolution.

Performance

The iPhone 10 XS Max is equipped with Apple’s A12 Bionic technology. iPhone 14 however, has a Hexa-core A16 chip. iPhone 10 and 14 respectively feature 4 and 5 core Graphics. The iPhone 14 has a maximum of 4 GB RAM and 512 GB internal memory. The 14 one has a higher 6 GB RAM and 1TB internal memory.

Camera

Cameras have always been great in Apple smartphones. With a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, the iPhone 10 XS Max has a dual-camera system. iPhone 14 features a triple camera configuration, with a 48MP primary and two 12 MP cameras. While both cameras can capture 4k videos and images, iPhone 14 features more features. Such as cinematic mode, Dolby Vision HDR, and 10-bit HDR.
