Meta Threads is the new platform acting as a rival to Twitter. It features the layout and options of Twitter and is made to fulfill the same purposes. And it looks like Meta hit right on the money with this one since Threads has reached 100 million user sign-ups in less than 5 days.
This was way bigger than anyone expected it to be. First of all, everyone thought that would not be that successful and be a less successful version of Twitter. However, it seems like this is not the case.
Meta Thread achieved 100 million users in less than 5 days, breaking the record of ChatGPT, which took 2 months to reach the same milestone.

What’s The Reason For Meta Thread’s Success?
Multiple reasons can be attributed to Threads reaching huge milestones. The first comes from its integration with Instagram. Instagram already has more than 100 million users and Threads marketing really helped spread the word. Meta did not have to find new users, they just had to subvert them from one place to another, which they did.
The other thing was not even Meta’s doing. Twitter also kinda helped with the success of their rivals. Everyone knows Twitter made some really weird decisions ever since Elon Musk acquired the Platform. The most prominent ones are paid checkmarks. While it was amusing to see people posing as famous people or businesses and doing funny stuff but it really hurt the platform’s legitimacy.
The other reason can be attributed to the bashing of free users. A lot of changes made really felt like Twitter was trying to get every cent out of their users, it didn’t matter if the decisions made the experience worse. Twitter limited the users to viewing only 600 tweets per day. One of the other reasons.
Because of all of this, it feels like a good idea to move to a different platform. And Meta took advantage of this idea and now it’s paying in dividends.
