Moonbin’s mother thanks those who have been mourning her son’s passing. Moonbin, a young K-pop idol, died at the age of 25 on April 19 this year. While initial reports suggested suicide, various theories about the cause of his death are still circulating online. Despite this, his mother requests that people refrain from spreading rumours about him.

Firstly, I received a lot of comfort from the sincerity of fans who, despite a long distance to travel, came all the way to the memorial spaces, wrote heartfelt letters, and brought flowers. Truly, I sincerely thank you. I hope all the fans find comfort and stay in good health.
The reason I’m writing this letter is because, though I know everyone is mourning and grieving my son, I’ve seen there are baseless rumors starting in a portion of online communities.These kinds of rumors are so hard for me to see as a mother, and I’m also worried that many people will suffer damages and fans who are grieving for my son might be heartbroken because of these false rumors.
