The Film is Scheduled for a Japanese release on August 2nd, the film is directed by Tensai Okamura (known for his work on Darker than Black) at the animation studio BONES. Fans can expect to see the return of several key figures from the television series and previous films, including screenwriter Yōsuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and composer Yuki Hayashi.

The film’s story, created by original manga author Kōhei Horikoshi, will be original and set around the same period as the current season of the television anime, which explores the aftermath of a societal collapse. The previous films, “My Hero Academia: Two Heroes” (2018), “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” (2019), and “My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes’ Mission” (2021), all achieved international success, with “World Heroes’ Mission” grossing over $10 million at the US box office.

The My Hero Academia television series is also currently airing its seventh season, which began with a special four-episode arc titled “My Hero Academia Memories.” The main season seven storyline will officially begin on May 4th.
