Hideo Kojima is the Christopher Nolan of video game direction. He has an impressive catalogue of games under his belt such as Death Stranding and of course, Metal Gear. However, since Kojima no longer has rights to IP, we may not see a new game soon. However, we are getting Physint, an Action-Stealth game made by Hideo Kojima.

Physint: Hideo Kojima’s Successor To Metal Gear?
Kojima revealed his next project during PlayStation’s State of Play conference. It is a “next-generation action espionage game,” which sounds encouragingly similar to the Metal Gear Solid series.
Kojima has consistently shown himself to be the series’ undisputed director of Metal Gear. Nevertheless, Konami and the renowned developer split up, with Kojima Productions being the new firm.
One more MGS game was released by Konami following Kojima’s departure. After the release of Metal Gear Survive in 2018, the franchise has remained silent. It was met with the same warm reception as a speeding ticket. Because of this, the release of Physint is significant because it seems like Hideo Kojima is making a spiritual resurrection of one of the greatest video game franchises after a long hibernation.
“After Death Stranding 2, Kojima Productions will start producing in earnest,” Kojima stated at the State of Play event. “Preparations are underway.” Until Death Stranding 2 comes out in 2025, we’ll all have to wait a few years for Physint.
Kojima suggests that there may be a similar idea for Physint, just as there is a planned cinematic tie-in for Death Stranding.
“It is an interactive game, of course, but in terms of appearance, plot, theme, cast, acting, style, and sound, it is also a movie. We intend to break down boundaries between video games and movies with this title.”
