The Sony Project Q
Zuby_Tech, a Twitter user, has posted a few videos and pictures of the Sony Project Q. The Device is basically a handheld streaming device most likely to be paired with the PlayStation 5. It’s basically a portable console like Nintendo Switch or The SteamDeck. However, the difference is that it will stream the output of PlayStation instead of actually running the games
An 8-inch LCD HD screen and full compatibility with all the buttons and functionality found on the DualSense controller. It looks like one of those weird Keyboard controllers from back in the day. Except there’s a screen instead of a Keyboard.
Sony claims that it will have the DualSense controller from the PS5. It is safe to presume that the system will output at 1080p and 60 fps because Sony did not advertise a high-refresh and 4K screen. These specifications should keep the cost of the Sony Project Q at a minimum.
The latency problems caused by streaming across Sony’s game servers would surely be reduced if the game were played on a home device. Sony Interactive Entertainment created the handheld gaming peripheral for the PlayStation 5. The official release was planned for late 2023
