Recently, the Vivo S17 Pro made an appearance on China’s 3C website, revealing some of its camera specs. This development suggests that Vivo may be preparing for an impending launch because 3C certification is required for networking or information and communication technology (ICT) equipment sold in China.
The Vivo S17 Pro and Its Camera Features

The 3C listing reveals the Vivo S17 Pro and the associated model numbers as V2062A and V2062T. It reveals the smartphone’s camera specifications, which include a quad-camera configuration with a 48MP main camera and 8MP, 2MP, and 2MP sensors. The device enables 10x digital zoom, AI noise reduction, and an AI portraiture mode to enhance portrait photos.

The zoom capabilities and the AI feature are indicative of a mid-range device. The listing also reveals a 33W fast charging capability, which has become somewhat of a staple feature for Vivo phones.

Vivo’s Strategy in 2021

Vivo has been focusing on delivering improved camera capabilities on its devices in 2021. The Vivo X60 Pro and the Vivo X60 Pro+ feature its original gimbal anti-shake stabilizing technology and HM1 sensor, guaranteeing better image quality and reach. These devices also feature a 50 MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 13MP portrait lens.

The maker has also recently released a couple of improved devices in its V-series with the V21 and V21e models. Both phones feature a 44MP OIS front camera and 64MP Sony IMX682 rear camera. These phones use the company’s ‘Super Night Mode’ to improve the night picture quality. The V21 also supports 10X Hybrid digital zoom, along with 4K video recording.

The Vivo V21 Pro is a V-series that is expected to feature a gimbal stabilizer as well. According to rumors, the V21 Pro could feature a 50MP main camera, followed by Periscope and ultrawide lenses.

The Vivo S17 Pro’s appearance on the 3C website is a clear indication, and the camera specifications of the device are likely to be impressive. Vivo seems to be intent on providing powerful camera capabilities to its customers, as evident from its recent releases of various mid-range and flagship devices.
