The upcoming release in Baldur’s Gate series, Baldur’s Gate 3 was already surrounded with hype. The Fantasy RPG already had a cult following among PC gamers. Also, the fact that it’s been more than 20 years since the franchise has seen release also adds to the popularity. However, the game saw a huge jump in popularity since its last gameplay live stream. And there is a good reason for that.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – Bear Sex Scene
On July 7, Larian held a live stream event to introduce new aspects of the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons-based RPG. Larian demonstrated a sample of the bear sex scene from Baldur’s Gate III with a Wildshaped Druid. And weirdly, Baldur’s Gate III, according to Steam, has climbed 70 spots to number fourth on the Best Sellers list. I don’t usually judge people, but sometimes it’s hard to ignore some stuff.
Shortly after it went live, TikTok blocked Larian’s live stream depicting the bear sex scene, prompting Michael Douse, Larian’s director of publishing, to tweet that “Tiktok canceled our stream because it was too artistic and they don’t understand.” The developers had taken responses from players and the reception was positive across the board. Lead writer for Baldur’s Gate III, Adam Smith, also made a remark regarding the bear scene.
Adam Smith, writer at Larian said “We have ultimately decided to give the public what they want: a gentle, mutually respectful romance with a guy who has been temporarily changed into a grizzly bear.” The grizzly bear will not be an actual bear. Sad news for weirdos in actual bestiality. However, this will make PETA a bit less of an annoyance.
The more the game gets close to release, the more anticipation grows. At this point, we don’t even know what to expect.
