Attrakt and Warner Records partnered to get Fifty Fifty involved in the ‘Barbie’ OST. Warner Records planned to promote Fifty Fifty in the global market, competing with Universal Music, which was working with a large K-pop agency.
Fifty Fifty had planned to shoot a music video for ‘Barbie Dreams’ as part of the movie promotion, but the conflict with Attrakt forced them to suspend activities and lose the opportunity.
This is not the only setback Fifty Fifty has faced recently. They have also had to cancel appearances on famous entertainment programs and CFs for global companies. In addition, overseas schedules such as ‘KCON LA 2023’ and a performance commemorating the 140th anniversary of Korea-UK diplomatic ties have been cancelled.
Fifty Fifty is now facing a major setback due to its suspended activities. The group once called the “Miracle of Small and Medium,” is now being labelled the “Tragedy of Small and Medium.”
