Bethesda’s next open RPG is really getting hyped up by fans. And why shouldn’t it be? It’s been nearly 8 years since the studio released a full-fledged game. That is, not counting the dozens of Skyrim re-releases. It’s obvious the game is taking a whole lot of time to develop Starfield because of its sheer size. And considering it’s Bethesda, there is no way the game will be polished on day 1. This has led to some people actually wanting a demo of the game.

Starfield’s Demo would be Impractical
Some believe that a demo for the game would help to alleviate any concerns about performance. However, this is simply not happening. Firstly, Bethesda actually doesn’t release any Demo for its games. And who does actually? Secondly, as several Reddit users have pointed out, Starfield will be available through Game Pass on Xbox and PC. You may try out the game without spending £70 by purchasing a Game Pass subscription. It is a hell of a lot cheaper. And additionally, if you don’t like the game, simply play the other ones available on the Game Pass.
So, while a free trial, demo, or whatever you want to call it isn’t impossible, it isn’t ideal. It’s also highly unlikely.
Players should also note that the game was actually supposed to release last year. However, Bethesda decided the delay the game by a whole year, which is good for them. Considering what the dumpster fire games like Cyberpunk 2077, and Bethesda’s own Fallout 76 were, they should take as much time as they need. But, Keep in mind this is Bethesda and I don’t remember any Bethesda game that was polished on launch. Nonetheless, Modders will take care.
