Youtube keeps changing things with its video streaming platform, whether for the better or the worse. Notable good examples are Ambient mode and video quality categories. While others not as good such as the removal of dislikes and comment section in a different tab. And now it seems like Youtube is working on another feature called Stable Volume.

What is Youtube Stable Volume?

Stable Volume is intended to balance out the volume among YouTube videos, some of which may be louder than others. This is the normalization of audio, making the audio levels in the video more even. Demand for sound leveling has been answered by other media providers for some time and now Youtube is also going with it.

The feature was first put to light by a Reddit User on r/Youtube. It was also noticed by other users too. M. Brandon Lee of the “This Is Tech Today” channel. Lee guessed in a tweet over the weekend that the feature “may be a normalizer and compressor that evens out the volume so you don’t have big jumps in volume in between videos and even parts of a video itself,”.

The feature is not currently available to all users yet. It seems like people are randomly getting this option on videos. The feature will be released after further testing has been done.
